From January 19-20, the Hubei Provincial Party Committee Lecturer Corps and our college's "Baima" Lecture Troupe visited Tunbao Township in Enshi, conducting a "Face-to-Face with Theoretical Hotspots" lecture activity and a promotion event for the "Xuexi Qiangguo" learning platform, both themed around "Xi Jinping's Cultural Thought".
The morning of January 19 saw the kickoff of the "Dragon Soars in the Selenium Capital to Celebrate the New Spring, Huayuan Tunbao Rushes the Big Fair" alongside the first New Year Goods Festival cultural event in Tunbao Township amidst a lively and festive atmosphere. Activities such as distributing spring couplets, enjoying song and dance performances, family games, book donations, and a knowledge quiz were highlights of the festival. Eight Enshi party and government officials were appointed as instructors for our college, and Professor Li Haibo, our dean, donated 200 books to Tunbao Middle School.
From the afternoon of January 19 to January 20, Professor Li Haibo, Dean, Associate Professor Zhu Lei, Vice Dean, Professor Yi Xintao, and Teacher Wang Yiyi carried out Xi Jinping's cultural thought lectures in various formats such as offline+online lectures, community-targeted lectures, house meeting lectures, firepit meeting lectures, and tea garden lectures at locations including Tunbao Township Government, Huazhi Mountain Village, Mazhe Village, and Yangjia Mountain Village. These lectures intricately wove Xi Jinping's cultural thought with local social conditions and sentiments, delivering its significant implications, content structure, the essence of the Chinese nation, and practical requirements to the broad base of grassroots party members, cadres, and the populace in an easily comprehensible language.
In addition, the Hubei Provincial Party Committee Lecturer Corps donated a selection of books to the "Face-to-Face with Theoretical Hotspots" practice base jointly established by South-Central Minzu University and Tunbao Township. These books included "Selected Works of Marx and Engels," "Compilation of Internal Regulations of the Communist Party of China," "Questions and Answers on Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era," "The Pattern of Plural Unity of the Chinese Nation," and "Following the Party by Learning its History and Understanding its Conditions."
The inaugural New Year Goods Festival aimed to deepen the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's cultural thought, propelling the Party's innovative theories into the homes of ordinary people. Hosted by the People's Government of Tunbao Township and co-organized by the Enshi Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Inheritance Exhibition Center, Enshi Culture Museum, Tunbao Township Comprehensive Cultural Service Center, and our college, grassroots officials and the public praised the "Baima" Lecture Troupe's theoretical lectures for their philosophical richness, detailed cases, and accessibility, providing the masses with a substantial "theoretical feast."
