To fully understand the mindset and work needs of young faculty and to advance the development of our young teachers' team, our institute conducted a symposium and the inaugural session of the "Idea Exchange Gathering" for young teachers on the morning of April 17th in Room 501. This session of the "Idea Exchange Gathering" was themed "Young Teachers Must Firmly Establish Themselves in Ideological and Political Education", Professors Yi Xintao and Chen Jing, serving as guest speakers, shared their insights. The event, participated in by Tang Zhenhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute, Deputy Dean Teng Shuai, and all young faculty members, was chaired by Teng Shuai.
During the sharing session, Professor Yi Xintao discussed his experiences and recommended that young teachers familiarize themselves with the knowledge and theoretical systems of ideological and political courses. He also encouraged participation in social practice and academic activities. Associate Professor Chen Jing shared her perspective on delivering effective ideological and political courses, emphasizing the importance of relating theory to real-life, converting complex principles into relatable stories to spark student interest. She advocated for more interactive teaching methods to engage students in deeper thinking. Finally, she encouraged young teachers to to be avid learners and strive to confidently teach ideological and political classes.
In his closing remarks, Tang Zhenhua emphasized the importance of developing high-quality faculty, particularly through fostering and developing young teachers, describing this focus as a "Project for the Future." He reminded young teachers of President Xi Jinping's earnest expectations to be dedicated, enthusiastic educators who care deeply for their students and to strive to be excellent modern teachers who love their profession and cherish their students.
