On May 17th, a seminar discussing the integration of ideological and political education across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels was held at our school’s Academic Exchange Center. This event focused on studying the important directives issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping on school ideological and political instruction and integrating the awareness of the Chinese national community. The seminar was attended by the heads and representatives of lead units, member units, and collaborative units of the integrated ideological and political education across different educational levels, as well as by leaders of our institute, Li Haibo, Li Jianqing, Qu Xiaolin, and Teng Shuai, along with teachers of ideological and political courses and students specializing in this field. Teng Shuai chaired the meeting.

Li Haibo delivered a welcoming speech, expressing a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the participants. The attendees collectively studied the significant directives issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping concerning the ideological and political instruction in schools, and discussed how to effectively implement these guidelines and advance the reform and innovation of school ideological and political education in the new era.

During the meeting, Qu Xiaolin introduced the construction of our school's elective ideological and political theory course, "Colorful China," and its distinctive features. Professor Dong Jie provided an in-depth explanation of the purpose, content, and approach to integrating the awareness of the Chinese national community into the ideological and political education system across primary, secondary, and higher education. Attendees engaged in thorough discussions on the theme of incorporating the awareness of the Chinese national community into ideological and political courses and the key directions and plans for the integrated construction of these courses in 2024.

Li Jianqing summarized the meeting, noting that this seminar was a specific action to implement the significant directives from General Secretary Xi Jinping regarding the construction of ideological and political courses in schools. She expressed the hope that all member units would continue to strengthen cooperation, further promote the integrated community construction of ideological and political education across all educational levels, and strive to nurture a new generation of youths who can be trusted by the Party, are devoted to patriotism, and are ready to take on the responsibilities of national rejuvenation.
