On July 17, our school's first summing-up meeting of outstanding young scientists from Asian and African developing countries was held in Conference Room 203, Building 13. The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, the head of the Pharmacy Institute and the members of the research group. The meeting was presided over by Professor Huang Xianju of the Pharmacy Institute.
Professor Huang Xianju made a detailed introduction from the background and significance of the project, the preparation of the preliminary project declaration, the implementation situation, and the form of the results. Subsequently, the project leader Awais Ihsan Dr. Safety Evaluation of Sodium Aescinate" reported on the project. In the past year, he has carried out safety research on the active components of Heptune, a popular medicinal material in Hubei Province, and published 3 related academic papers. Jiang Ying, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Pharmacy, congratulated Dr. Awais on his achievements, thanked him for his contribution to the scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation of the countries along the "Belt and Road ", and looked forward to more cooperation in scientific research, sharing of quality educational resources, and joint training of foreign students in the future.
Awais Ihsan graduated from Huazhong Agricultural University, taught at Comsats University of Pakistan, successfully applied to the Asia-Africa developing countries Outstanding Young scientists Project in 2018, and began to study the efficacy and safety of ethnic drugs in the School of Pharmacy, Central South University for nationalities in July 2019. Professor Huang Xianju. Dr. Awais has actively carried out ethnic medicine scientific research in the Institute of Pharmacy, promoted cooperation and exchanges between schools and Pakistani scientific research institutions, and promoted the development and utilization of ethnic medicine resources in countries along the Belt and Road route.
Founded in 2013, the International Jieqing Plan (Talented Young Scientist Program,TYSP), with special funding from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, aims to implement the "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan, promote scientific and technological exchanges between China and other developing countries, build a platform for scientific and technological exchanges among young people, and promote practical international scientific and technological cooperation.
