Subsequently, 12 experts and scholars exchanged views on the theme of "Natural product Chemistry and medicinal chemistry" and reported their academic contributions and important innovation achievements in recent years.Academician Sun Han Dong presented his thoughts on the research and development of natural medicines on the topic of "In-depth Discussion on the Research and Development of Natural Medicines through multidisciplinary Cooperation". He believed that the research and development of natural products must integrate the knowledge of pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and other disciplines in order to achieve significant results.Zhao Qinshi, a researcher from Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the chemical composition and biological activity of Lycophytes and ferns, and reported the research progress in the isolation, biological activity and total synthesis of lycophytes alkaloids in recent years.Prof. Tao Feng, School of Pharmacy, South-central University for Nationalities, reported "Research on fungus-specific Natural Products", and listed the research achievements of our group on fungus-specific sesquiterpenes, diterpenes and triterpenes in recent years, including the discovery of new types of compounds and the progress in pharmacological activities.The participating experts and scholars had in-depth on-site communication on the academic difficulties and development bottlenecks, presenting a wonderful academic feast together.
